In today's day we are constantly surrounded by magazines and famous celebrities that most people believe to be "beautiful bodies." However, it has been proven that those celebrities are air brushed on magazines and are represented in a different light. It is unbelievable to see how many people kill themselves at the gym trying to attain this image that is accepted by our society. The main group that strive to get the "perfect body" are teens in middle school, high school, and even as early as elementary school children. Some even go as far as developing eating disorders known as bulimia and anorexia in order to attain the images seen in magazines. In order to live happy and healthy lives we have to accept the fact that normal people simply will never have these perfect bodies. Even the person that others see as being perfect don't feel perfect on the inside. Everyone dislikes something about themselves when in reality as the old saying goes "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." We have to learn to accept the way we are and embrace the features we were born with. It is these features that make us unique and we have to learn to accept our bodies the way they are. Even though there are plastic surgeries to alter our images we must remember that every surgery has a risk. If we learn to accept our bodies and the way we are we truly can achieve happiness within ourselves.
